Established in 2003, Great Falls Studios (GFS) is an organization of around 70 independent artists working in Great Falls, Virginia--a unique and diverse group of painters, potters, photographers, jewelry makers, fiber artists, sculptors, and others representing a variety of media. 

The organization promotes the artistic endeavors of Great Falls artists through its network of continuous communication among the members, its contact with other community organizations, its several annual exhibitions, and other events in the community. GFS hosts this website to feature the work of its members. Our membership in the Arts Council of Fairfax County provides our own members access to the resources of that organization.

Since its founding in 2003, Great Falls Studios has arranged group exhibitions at community events such as the Taste of Great Falls and Great Falls Day. We also hold group exhibits at the Great Falls Library. Check our Calendar for the schedule of current and upcoming exhibits.

Great Falls Studios seeks to increase the opportunities for experiencing art in the Great Falls Community and to support other community organizations. A portion of sales at GFS sponsored events have been donated to local charities, including the Brogue Charities, the Great Falls Firehouse Building Fund, and the Friends of the Great Falls Library. Great Falls Studios allocates a portion of its sales to promote the arts in Great Falls.

Membership is open to any working artist in the community. Non-artists may join the growing arts movement in Great Falls by becoming "Art Friend Patrons" or "Art Enthusiast Patrons" of Great Falls Studios.  Patrons at the "Art Friend Patron" level will receive email news and invitations to members-only events and private tours plus a chance on a $50 ArtBucks coupon to purchase art during Studio Tour. Patrons at the "Art Enthusiast Patron" level will get all that plus invitations to exclusive Open Studio tours, and a swag bag, plus entry to a drawing for a $250 certificate to L'Auberge Chez Francois restaurant.
