SATURDAY ACTIVITIES - 10am -5pm. Our artists will be demonstrating the stages of creating an oil painting from the original blocking in to the various layering of colors. You'll be able to witness the creative process by watching the painting's progress throughout the weekend.

I specialize in contemporary realistic and abstract oil paintings: landscapes, still life, portraits and illusions of visible reality.
I have been drawing since I was a little girl but seriously took up oil painting about fifteen years ago. I have taken many painting classes at the Torpedo Factory, Alexandria, VA and have been influenced by their excellent instructors. I try to show energy, vibrancy and movement by depicting strong shadow and light. I hope that each of my paintings engages the viewer with something to say allowing the observor to come away with an enlightened vision of the subject. I'm a member of Artists on the Green, 776B Walker Road located in the Great Falls Centre. Artists on the Green is a consortium of six artists who operate a studio and gallery. The studio provides our members with a place to be creative, to paint and to display their completed work, usually for sale
