SUNDAY ACTIVITIES - My studio is in the Physical Therapy Office on the Village Green. I have in-process works, as well as many papers to touch and explore.

Ronni Jolles will be showing her latest works, and demonstrating her very unique art form of using layered papers to create textural and dimensional artwork.

Ronni Jolles graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Art and Psychology, and continued her studies at the Corcoran School of Art and The Boston Museum of Fine Arts. Jolles taught art full-time for almost 20 years before becoming a professional fulltime artist. Jolles attributes the creation of her unique art process to the many forms of art she has taught. Jolles learned papermaking, and she travelled extensively to find the papermakers in the world. She gathered hundreds of unique papers from many countries, using those papers as the primary medium in the textural and dimensional art form she created. Jolles will be showing her "boxes" as well as othr experimental pieces. Jolles has been in the Smithsonian Crafts Show and in many art shows along the East Coast & California; and she often wins Awards for Innovation and/or Excellence in Medium. After living in Great Falls for 27 years, she has recently moved across the river to Chevy Chase, MD. She still loves her artistic community in Great Falls, and as one of the founding members of Great Falls Studios, she continues her membership proudly. Because her work is totally different from other art forms, it needs to be seen in person to truly appreciate the textures and dimensionality of the work. If you like color, and texture, and innovation - you'll love seeing her studio/gallery! You'll be able to touch hundreds of papers, and understand why her papers inspire her work!
