Sandy Buffie

Sandy has been creating art for 30 years. She is a lifelong learner and is constantly experimenting with different mediums and techniques to create truly one-of-a kind pieces. She creates every piece by hand using traditional and non traditional metal smithing techniques. Her work is very intuitive and often strays far from her initial sketch. She loves the challenge of creating wearable sculptures that are both uncommon and surprising. Her jewelry often consists of alternative, non-precious materials like stones, wallpaper and fabric juxtaposed with genuine gemstones. Her work has been in Galleries across the country including the National Building Museum gift shop and has been published several times in the International jewelry magazine Bellemoire. Her largest metal sculpture (9' long) , of the Atlanta skyline is currently on display in very popular restaurant in Atlanta. This year she will have a collection of statement jewelry that has been made with items that she collected on her trip to France in the Spring. She is also a prolific painter using alcohol inks and acrylic and resin. Her current obsession is painting beautiful golf holes in 3D.
