Over the last 20+ years, I’ve been painting precisely the subject that I love most. Life. My Dad was the ultimate people watcher and the apple fell directly from the tree. All those beautiful faces and relationships, conversations, movement, everyday life – are just what I strive to capture. First, I thought that was just possible from photos, snapshots of life. Painting plein air turns those stills into “motion pictures” where life unfolds right before our eyes and on canvas. I can’t imagine a greater passion than to paint and connect to others in such a genuine way through art. Every day is another chance to do that – while out painting or teaching others this beautiful way to capture the world. I’m on one continuous journey of which there are many wonderful chapters. I hope you can visit me at the Artists’ Atelier to discover what 2024 had in store for me and the future might hold for you. Life is a great adventure to be treasured.
