Kay Walsh is an Abstract Artist who explores the mysteries of space, geometric shape and color spontaneously to create artwork that connects with the viewer on the inspirational side of life.

An in-depth fascination with painting began in college and developed a career as a Graphic Designer. Combining unusual ideas to develop concepts with various materials and techniques has always been intuitive. Mark-making, layering, pictorial depth and at times collage, are tools that have fascinated me to create an abstract narrative with the viewer to engage and enable a personal connection. My work can be seen as geometric while being influenced by techniques of abstract expressionism. A constant abstract exploration and investigation, with curiosity and humor serve as the foundation for my work...allowing for imagination and inspiration to thrive. Physical energy always lies beneath the surface waiting...just waiting to emerge on paper, canvas or wood to express emotions through color, graphic shapes and strong gestures.

Much of my artwork is larger format (also included will be a series of 20”x 20”) geometric and/or floral acrylic paintings on canvas. I will also feature some smaller matt board paper work and will have greeting cards as well. A small wired tree will display hand-painted holiday ornaments, too.
