My technique is simple. I love to be outside and photography allows me to be there and to go slow. I'm not hiking mountains to bag peaks and I'm not going hiking out in the woods for the exercise, although that is a definite benefit. I'm out there to be refreshed and be a part of the natural surroundings humans do so well to separate ourselves from. I seek natural and wild places constantly. The work I create captures these places, these feelings of comfort and calm, awe and appreciation, from a backyard to the top of a mountain or the edge of a glacier.
