Jennifer creates mixed media paintings, abstract collages and monotype prints. She is drawn to the landscape and all the beauty it has to offer.
Using water-based media and hand-made collage paper, my paintings are based on memories and reflections of the world around me. I am drawn to patterns, visual texture and unusual lines - all part of the chaotic rhythms found in nature. I approach each painting with curiosity and spontaneity, hoping the initial chaos of paint, graphite and collage can be organized into something pleasing and harmonious. This will be my 20th year participating in Studio Tour and I plan to share some monotype prints inspired by mid-century painter Hans Hoffman- new and different from my landscape paintings.
