My “studio” is wherever I roam to capture life, on location, impressionistically in oils – and when not out and about, it’s here at the Artists’ Atelier in the Village Centre.
Over the last 20+ years, I’ve been painting my favorite subject – Life. My Dad was the ultimate people watcher and the apple fell directly from the tree. All those faces and relationships, conversations, movement and scenes of everyday life – are what I strive to capture. First, I thought that was only possible working from photos. Painting plein air (“in the open air” – from life) turns those stills into “motion pictures” where life unfolds right before my eyes and on canvas. It’s magical! I’m on one sweet journey of which there are many wonderful chapters. I hope you can visit me to discover what 2026 had in store (painting in the South of France and in juried and invitational plein air competitions in Plein Air Easton MD, Telluride CO, Door County WI, Atlanta and New Bern NC). I share the charming, wood-beamed space in the Artists' Atelier with six other artists. This special spot is still a pretty well-kept secret so we hope you will come visit and help us spread the word. There is always something new to see because we keep creating. Regular open hours throughout the year are Wednesdays, noon to 4pm; Saturdays, 10 to 2 and First Fridays of the Month, 6-8pm from April to December. Come see why we love it so much! Make this your first stop in the Village Centre and we are happy to help guide you on your own perfect for you studio tour. The Artists’ Atelier is wheel chair accessible through the back porch entrance. Take the scenic route.
