Project Cherry Pick 2020 photography size as needed About eighteen years ago I planted this tree. I just expected a hardwood to enhance my home.
Edible Cherries 2020 photography size as needed A few cherries came year by year, mostly eaten by birds. I have no problem with that. This year is different.
Cherry Oh! 2020 photography size as needed As if the tree knows we need more fresh fruit deliveries at home, like oaks making more acorns in years when squirrels need them, it has really provided this year and with no help from pesticides.
Bowl of Cherries 2020 photography size as needed I brought my bucket and camera, picking the lower fruit leaving the highest cherries for the wildlife. They really taste as good as they look. We got several quarts.
Lily (Rated TV-MA!) 2020 photography size as needed All of my images shown here have been made under natural light.

Rye Field (after Ivan Shishkin) Oil on linen 16x20 June 2020 “The great Russian landscape painter, Ivan Shishkin, was a master of trees, and I wanted to learn from him. Since he is dead and buried, the best I could do was copy one of his works. This is a copy of a portion of his painting entitled, “Rye.”
Under the Sea Oil on linen 16x20 May 2020 “I started this painting deep in the throes of the lockdown. I was in my cold, damp, dim basement, so I had this image in my mind of swimming under the sea looking up at a dory and the sunlit sky. I painted this exclusively with a palette knife (something I never do). I am drawn to cool colors and wanted to experiment with the variety of blues, violets, and greens in my paint box.”
Kylie Oil on linen 10x12 June 2020 “Painting animal portraits is my passion. This dog belongs to a friend. The dog is so cute and happy, I just had to paint her. It brings a smile to my face when I look at her, and I hope her owner feels the same way.”
