I turned a small photo of a NY side street upside down and painted the building shapes. Then I turned it right side up and painted people to add scale and a base.

Every evening toward the end of July and into August, the mamma barred owl brings her babies up to the house. We chat, the babies "whistle” so mamma knows where they are. If she thinks they are getting too friendly, a gentle coo coo does absolutely nothing to dissuade them from their curiosity.
