in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. I smelled a rat, as I've completely closed my LinkedIn account and deleted all emails therefrom. I immediately deleted the email unopened. Googling got a hit describing the firm as a headhunter company. Another was from someone who "clicked on the link and took me to {another link not here because it would be live} next thing all my important files were all locked up" Be careful of "phishing" and scam emails.

My current "tree guy" is good but unreliable about showing up to do the work. Who is your favorite tree professional? I prefer a stable local person with the usual license and insurance and with arborist credentials. Don F

(Just in case you didn't know) Do you bake and have you been surprised to see that pint of vanilla extract now priced at $35 and more? Why this happened has eluded me but I can buy a 1.75 L bottle of good dark rum for about $35 and use it when a recipe calls for vanilla. Of course, the rum can also be used for the usual purposes, too. Does anyone know why the price of vanilla extract has gone up $500% in the last few years?

When drafting an email, always put in the addressee's handle last.  This will prevent the email from being sent prematurely if you happen to mistakenly hit the 'send' button.  If you are replying, you can temporarily take out the handle and replace it at the last minute.  If like me you tend to forget the email address, either write it on paper or copy/paste it in the message area and copy/paste it in the "To:" line just before sending.
