A native of Barcelona, Spain, Begoña’s eclectic painting style incorporates her love for family, food and travel.  Her technique varies according to what she is creating—her classic or her MODERN series.  For the classic, more realistic paintings she almost always uses oil on Belgian linen panel which provides a rigid surface onto which she can paint fine detail.  For her more contemporary, MODERN Series paintings she uses a larger format stretched canvas.  The additional surface area allows for more creative, complex compositions.  The materials she uses for the MODERN Series are also different—oils for defined, realistic areas and acrylics for the abstract background, objects and shapes.  Essentially, it is an oil painting within a larger acrylic composition.

Visitors will be able to see both my classic oil and MODERN series paintings and enjoy a preview of my upcoming solo exhibition at the Strathmore Mansion from November to January.  For wine and art lovers: Create an original artwork painting with wine on paper at 3pm on Friday and Saturday, all levels.  Limited capacity, reservation is encouraged.

Just a few minutes from the center of Great Falls, the studio has its own entrance with a small gallery on the ground floor as you enter.  There are two workspaces on two floors with lots of windows on three sides facing East, West, and South providing wonderful light throughout the day.
