Our self-guided driving tour takes you to the home-based, pop-up and group studios of over 35 participating artists.  The weekend event runs for three days: October 18, 19, and 20 rain or shine, from 10:00am to 5:00pm each day. Admission is free and parking is available at all venues.  Remember that some artists, as noted alongside their information, will only be open two days.

Tour Headquarters, tour stop 21, is located in the Old Forrestville Schoolhouse at 9812 Georgetown Pike in Great Falls.  Dorry Emmer will greet you inside the Schoolhouse.  She knows all the artists, will offer suggestions to plan your tour, share anecdotes, and can direct you to studios ideal for families. She can guide you to hands-on activities and artists that interest you at other stops on the tour map.

Studio Tour is our signature event.  However, we also sponsor other art activities throughout the year.  The public is warmly invited to all of the following:

Virtual Gallery - Every month a brand new exhibit from a variety of members is posted on our website GreatFallsStudios.com/VirtualGallery

Sales Events - Twice a year we hold an art sale in Great Falls.  Our upcoming Holiday Sale will be on December 7th & 8th, 2019 and our Spring ArtFest will be on May 2nd and 3rd, 2020; both events will be held at the Great Falls Grange, 9818 Georgetown Pike.

Art Exhibits - Enjoy our art year-round by visiting our revolving exhibits at The Snuggery Dining Room/Katie’s Coffee House (within The Old Brogue, 760 Walker Road), TD Bank (9901 Georgetown Pike), Great Falls Community Library (9830 Georgetown Pike) and Brightview Great Falls (10200 Colvin Run Road).  Additionally, GFS sponsors art exhibits from our three elementary schools at Starbucks Coffee (9863 Georgetown Pike)

About the Tour

We would like to thank our community supporters: Our Mom Eugenia, (B on the map) invites you to enjoy their authentic Greek food for lunch and dinner. The Old Brogue and Katies Coffee, (C on the map) invites you to visit for coffee, lunch and/or dinner during the tour. While there, you will enjoy Dean Souleles’ photography. He is showing some of his most interesting and entertaining travel photographs. His unique take on the Louvre or the Canals of Venice is sure to make you take a second look and reconsider these iconic landmarks.
